This podcast initially began as Tianna's "Action Project" for her fellowship at Humanity in Action, which is an international non-profit social justice organization. Creating this podcast in 2020, Tianna's goal was to contribute to scholarly debates by producing actionable historical research that practically applies to social justice work. The project has evolved significantly over the years since and has been an incredible platform for community building within and outside of the academy.

Additionally, Tianna was formerly a Public History fellow at the White House Historical Association, where she worked on the "Slavery in the President's Neighborhood" initiative. To learn more about Tianna's role click here.
