This podcast serves as Tianna's "Action Project" as a fellow at Humanity in Action, which is an international non-profit social justice organization. Tianna's goal is to contribute to scholarly debates by producing actionable historical research that practically applies to social justice work. As a fellow at Humanity in Action, Tianna is able to creatively realize this goal through the production of a history podcast, focusing on overlooked histories and experiences throughout the Atlantic world. ​

Additionally, Tianna was formerly a Public History fellow at the White House Historical Association, where she worked on the "Slavery in the President's Neighborhood" initiative. To learn more about Tianna's role click here.

Tianna Mobley received her BA in History with a minor in African American Studies from Georgetown University in 2020. Tianna also received her M.A. in Global, International, and Comparative History from Georgetown University in 2022. She is currently a Ph.D. student in History & Early Modern Studies at Yale University. Her research focuses on the intersection of slavery, religion, and gender in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Peru and Spain.
